We're Back At It In 2018

Happy 2018, everyone! This post is long overdue, but if you follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram you’ll know we’ve been incredibly busy with the release of “The Weight of Honor”.

It’s an honor to be selected to be part of film festivals and we’ve had a great “run” so far: San Antonio Film Fest (where we won the Audience Award for Best Documentary), Kansas International Film Festival, Alexandria Film Festival (that’s where we were named “Best of Fest”), and the San Francisco Veterans’ Film Festival. I attended each one with either Rodger or Alex, who went with me to Kansas. Other filmmakers asked how they could get an Executive Assistant. I told them, “You have to give birth to one!” Joking aside, Alex has been invaluable in keeping me on schedule by managing the radio/podcast interviews and making sure I’m where I need to be when I need to be.

Our next screening is at The Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA on Thursday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. This is our Pennsylvania premiere! I’ll be a guest on Public Radio Station WITF this Friday morning, March 16 at 9:30 a.m. EDT to talk about the screening and will also be joining a panel after they show the movie.

Did you make it to our Southern California premiere at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library? What about our screenings in Omaha or any of the film festivals? If not, there are more opportunities coming up. Can’t release details as yet… but we have screenings in the works for Washington, DC, Los Angeles, San Diego and Omaha (again!). Will share dates and times on our social media and add them to the events section of the site just as soon as they’re confirmed.

BIGGEST NEWS: We’re developing a program for universities and museums to add “The Weight of Honor” to their permanent libraries! University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Army Heritage Center have already purchased theirs.
